The SMU Innovation Lab Center allows students and executives to develop their creative and innovative potential. It suggests, elaborates and takes strategic decisions at SMU regarding Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiatives. It coordinates all Entrepreneurship activities at the University and beyond.

The Innovation Lab. activities include: Training, Dissemination, Consultancy and Research on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Among others, these activities include:

Entrepreneurs of the Future: An SMU Internal Ideation Camp that initiates SMU students to Entrepreneurship through a Problem-Solving challenge for a selected topic.

SMU Startup Competition: An SMU Open Ideation Camp that initiates High School students and ISET students to the Entrepreneurship spirit through a prize awarding ideation camp.

SMU Partnerships: SMU is very active in the Tunisian Entrepreneurship ecosystem. It supports major initiatives and programs that help entrepreneurs build their startups and grow. Among these programs SMU has partnership with: Souk At-Tanmia, Founder Institute Tunisia & Tunisian American Enterprise Fund

SMU Entrepreneurship Courses & Trainings: SMU develops practical teaching of entrepreneurship within all its programs.

  • UPM students have an Entrepreneurship Curriculum that drives them from ideation (EoF) to immersion through the Entrepreneurship Culture course (L2), to Startup Design through the Entrepreneurship L3 Course.
  • Master Students have a Design Thinking course that is oriented toward creative problem-solving. With the use of actionable theory methodology, students work in teams to solve a sponsor company real problem.
  • EMBA Participants can choose a New Venture project as a final project to validate their Diploma. For this purpose, EMBA participants are supervised by an SMU Professor and have access to SMU network. The Final Project will be finally evaluated by a Jury of experts.
